Neighbor rescues lonely stray cat that purrs as soon as they take her inside, turns out she was abandoned by her family and looking for love this whole time

To all of the people who abandon their cats, we hope you step on Legos every morning for the rest of your lives. Too many people throw cats away like trash without understanding the consequences of their actions. Imagine getting thrown out of the house you've lived in your whole life with no explanation, just one day you're inside with your loving family, and the next, you're outside and they're gone. We literally cannot imagine how scary that must be. 

Thankfully, there are a lot of wholesome heroes who go out of their way to rescue cats, and we're here to talk about one of them today. One kind neighbor trapped a lonely stray cat, who, upon getting inside, wouldn't stop purring. They took the cat to the vet to get a health check, only to discover that the cat had a microchip, but the family had moved away and had no interest in being contacted. So, this cat was looking for a new hooman, and we guess that she found one.

    I took her to the vet today and she's an abandoned housecat. The vet tried to contact her original owners and they aren't from the area, nor do they want to be contacted. I can't imagine

    how scared she's been. A lot of military families live in my area and abandon their cats when they move, and this is probably what happened to Basil.

  • Why wouldn't you take your cat with you? It's like transporting a big dog, which can cost up to $14,000. You can take most cats on the plane with you. It's not even that hard.

  • Well, now we can safely leave the past behind us. These two have been united, and it seems that the strings of feline fate put them together for a reason. They're meant to make each other happy, we're absolutely pawsitive.

    Old-Sale-2029. 1d ago As a military family who took an outside stray in bc she was too "mean" (they kept her kitten.) this is horrible. All I did was give her a month of patience and now I can pick her up and snuggle her.
